Alive and Well Episodes

Alive and Well

This program focuses on your health and fitness! Providing helpful guidelines for facing personal challenges, dealing with disabilities, coping with illness, and overcoming adversity!
We're "thriving and surviving" through the stories that portray a desire to live life to the fullest!

Hosting this program is life-time Muskegon resident Lynda Balkema.

A small bit of history includes her working for the Muskegon County Victim Witness Unit, The American Red Cross, and currently works for Mercy Health Partners at the Muskegon Community Health Project. She is the Program Manager for The Strengthening Muskegon Grant, a County grant that provides Technical Assistance for capacity building to grass roots non-profits.

Lynda is the proud mother of three children, Kristopher, Samantha, and AJ and one grand-daughter, Dani Lynne. At the young age of 53 she is back in school, attending Spring Arbor University while working full time!

Lynda is an avid photographer who has photographed many high-school seniors and weddings over the years. A nature lover who also enjoys travel and adventure, Lynda loves kayaking, hiking, and biking the local trails and is an avid “fair weather” power walker.
