“What’s Happening! West Michigan?” is a one-hour program that travels “on location” throughout West Michigan featuring various community projects and events: sports, arts and entertainment, political, medical, and educational. It spotlights West Michigan businesses, elected officials, and public service organizations. The show promotes fund raisers, food drives, and local volunteer programs. It puts a strong emphasis on the welfare of animals, children, and seniors as well as the accomplishments and concerns of disabled individuals.

With it’s debut episode on July seventh of 1999, “What’s Happening! West Michigan?” was the first show to be produced by the husband-and-wife team of Robert VanDerStelt and Ann Marie, along with Ann’s mother, Sandy Rose, the trio who would eventually found the non-profit organization, Digital Spectrum Enterprises of West Michigan, DSE.

Hermans Hermits; country music singer, Doug Stone; 80’s pop duo, Air Supply;
actress Loretta Swit, and many more!

“What’s Happening! West Michigan?” was started by Ann Marie Bratsburg, who is now the president of DS Enterprises of West Michigan and owner of Aztrac Productions, a local audio and video recording studio; and Sandy Rose. As the Vice-President of DS Enterprises and Ann’s mother, Sandy is also an LPN with an MSW (Masters in Social Work), and a long history of both case management and work with senior citizens.




Current hosts include: Tom Anderson, North Muskegon City Councilman and owner of the Bicycle Rack of Muskegon;
 and Diane Hansen, teacher consultant for Muskegon Area Intermediate School district.
